A panel on the future of EU-China Relations was organised as part of the MUN Salient 2020 conference on 29 June 2020. The panel hosted speakers with expertise in EU foreign relations, China, and EU-China relations: Ms. Nina Pejič, researcher at the Centre of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Ambassador of the EU to China, HE Nicolas Chapuis, and Mrs. Katja Geršak, Executive Director at the Centre for European Perspective. The panellists discussed various fields that will play an important role in the future of EU-China relations, such as trade and economy, norms and values, and technological progress. The panel concluded with questions from the audience, which shed more light on privacy concerns related to technological progress, the values debate, and the future of Chinese investment in the EU.
