Seminar “Joint Membership of Italy and the Netherlands in the United Nations Security Council: Opportunities for the EU and Lessons for Latvia”

The seminar aims to discuss the lessons for the EU and Latvia from the joint membership of Italy and the Netherlands at the UNSC. The event will address the perspective of the EU on the role of the UNSC, and its ability to articulate policy priorities jointly; the influence of non-permanent members of the UNSC; the lobbying initiatives behind joint memberships and the process of joint priority-setting; and the lessons for Latvia and the Baltic states.
