TEPSA student paper: “Breaking the vicious cycle? Attempting EU solidarity through gender equality”, Luisa Kern

TEPSA is happy to present the student paper “Breaking the vicious cycle? Attempting EU solidarity through gender equality” by Luisa Kern, a Bachelor’s Student at the Freie Universität Berlin and Sciences Po Paris.

Luisa Kern argues that gender equality “can also contribute to the status of solidarity in the EU, as it reduces existing discontent”. Therefore, she suggests that “[r]ethinking European ambition and making gender equality not negotiable but rather the goal of the next years are vital and cannot happen without solidarity” and encourages to “be truly bold and strive for a feminist EU”.
