The Swiss National Science Foundation has awarded two highly competitive Ambizione grants to the European Politics Group, amounting to over CHF 1.7 million in funding over the next four years.
In two independent projects, Dominik Schraff will study “Regional Inequality and the Political Geography of EU Support” and Natasha Wunsch will examine “Democratic backsliding in Eastern Europe: Sequence, Strategies, Citizens”. Besides providing resources for research, the additional funding covers the salaries of the two grantees as well as for two new PhD students to be hired in the coming months.
