In mid-October, Assist. Dr. Iris Koleša, Prof. Dr. Andreja Jaklič, and Senior Research Fellow Dr. Metka Stare (all from the Centre of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia) participated at the 31st RESER conference, where they presented the findings on the differences between foreign-owned service and manufacturing firms’ responses to crises, such as that caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. They stressed that firms employ a layered response to building resilience (introducing measures aimed at employee development, infrastructure and process upgrades, as well as portfolio and market diversification).
