To innovatively explore various facets of European integration is the aim of a new book “The EU as a Political Actor: The Analysis of Four Dimensions of the EU’s Actorness” edited by Petr Kratochvíl. The unifying theme of the book is the EU´s actorness in international affairs. In this new publication edited by Petr Kratochvíl four individual dimensions of its actorness are explored – the EU´s legitimacy, its external recognition, its attractiveness, and its power to frame policy. These four dimensions are explored both theoretically and in the context of several empirical case studies.
