To mark the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic recognition of the Republic of Slovenia by the Republic of Austria, the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, and the Embassy of the Republic of Austria organised a panel discussion on the past, present and future of bilateral relations between Slovenia and Austria. After the welcome address by the Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences prof. dr. Iztok Prezelj and the Austrian Ambassador to Slovenia mag. Elisabeth Ellison-Kramer, the State Secretary at the Slovene Ministry of Foreign Affairs mag. Marko Štucin gave an introductory speech. This was followed by a panel discussion hosting several distinguished speakers: dr. Iztok Simoniti, a former diplomat at the Slovene Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expert in international relations; Mr. Bojan Ivanc, an economic analyst from the Slovene Chamber of Commerce; dr. Jutta Stefan-Bastl, a former Austrian Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia; and dr. Valentin Inzko, a diplomat and former Austrian Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia. Prof. dr. Ana Bojinović Fenko from the Chair and Centre of International Relations, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, moderated the discussion, which was held at the Faculty of Social Sciences on 6 October 2022.
