Prof. dr. Andreja Jaklič from the Centre of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia (CIR) was an invited speaker at the annual Conference on European Economic Integration titled ‘Recalibrating tomorrow’s global value chains – prospects for CESEE’. The event took part on 22 and 23 November 2021 and was organised by the Austrian National Bank (i.e. Oesterreichische Nationalbank – OeNB) in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB). In a panel discussing the ‘Stability versus vulnerability in GVCs: tracing the benefits and risks of increasing interconnectedness’ she presented the research on structural changes of GVCs during crises and implications for Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.
