This year, the Turkish-German University in Istanbul (TDU/TAÜ) and the Centre for Turkey and European Union Studies (CETEUS) at the University of Cologne (UoC) are going to launch their very first Early Career Workshop. Taking place on Thursday, 26 May 2022, we are now taking applications to join the workshop

The workshop aims to establish and deepen the academic network between Germany, the European Union and Turkey and emphasizes especially on fostering a common international academic community. Moreover, the EU-Turkey-Germany relations are more than ever of high political and academic relevance. Overall, the get together of both renowned political and academical practitioners and young scientists will strengthen the academic exchange of all participants notably in the field of European and International Affairs Studies and thus can be considered as a source of future cross-border projects. Complementary to the bridges built by this academic transfer, the workshop illuminates the important work delivered by the Department for Political Science and International Relations and Institute for Social Sciences at the Turkish-German University.

The Early Career Workshop is open to Master’s students and recent graduates, PhD candidates from different disciplines (e.g. Political Science, European Studies, International Relations and related fields).
