Are you looking to enhance your knowledge of the European Parliament, its functions, its role, its impact? Are you aiming to enhance your skillset and employability? Do you want to know how you can make a difference in the upcoming European Parliament elections in June 2024?
In the framework of the ActEU project, the Trans European Policy Studies Association is organising its latest training academy for young Europeans.
The 3-day online seminar will offer 20 Bachelor and Master students an opportunity to gain first-hand insights from researchers, EU practitioners, and policymakers on the functioning of the European Parliament, its role in the complex architecture of EU governance, and the role of youth electoral participation.

By attending this training, participants will:
- Acquire and deepen their knowledge on the European Parliament’s functions, its importance in the democratic process, and its impact on European societies.
- Meet with high-level professionals from EU institutions, Universities, think tanks and learn from their experiences;
- Meet and exchange views with students from different national backgrounds;
- Improve their analytical and argumentative skills;
- Enhance their employability.
The seminar will be conducted online via Zoom from 11 to 13 October 2023. It will consist of daily sessions (from 14:00 to 18:00) which will include lectures from high-level experts on EU institutional affairs and democratic participation, interactive discussions with practitioners from the European Parliament, and hands-on group activities.
A certificate will be issued to all participants following their full attendance at the seminar.
Participation in the seminar is free of charge. However, in order to secure their seats the selected applicants will be asked to transfer a deposit of EUR 100, which will be fully refunded upon participation in the seminar. Failure to transfer the deposit in time will result in exclusion from the seminar. In case of non-participation, the deposit cannot be refunded.
The TEPSA Training: Inside the European Parliament is designed as an interdisciplinary training course and is open for 20 Bachelor’ and Master’s degree students from different disciplines (e.g. Political Science, European Studies, International Relations, Law, Economics) interested in learning more about the European Parliament’s role in EU governance and the challenges for the upcoming elections in June 2024. Students from other disciplines are also very much encouraged to apply.
Applicants will be informed about the decision of the review committee in the week of 18 of September.
