In the paper, the authors introduce the concept of post-conflict anxieties and establish an analytical framework for measuring them. It is the first framework of its kind that addresses the issue of ethnic distance in a comprehensive manner through the mutual reflexivity of the structural and experiential framework of post-conflict societies; in particular, why ethnic distance in post-conflict societies is so difficult to reduce – despite the multitude of efforts by various actors.
