In the context of the International Protection of the Environment course at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, and with financial support from the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU; Centre of International Relations (CIR) hosts various guest lecturers that (together with students) discuss different environmental topics. In April, three guests addressed the course participants: Dr. Tomislav Tkalec from Focus (an association for sustainable development in Slovenia) gave a speech titled ‘NGOs as an actor of environmental protection’, Ana Grabnar, LL.M., from the Law Firm Rojs, Peljhan, Prelesnik and partners held a lecture titled ‘Participation of the public in environmental proceedings’, and Brîndușa Palade, PhD, an Associate Professor of Political Ethics at the Faculty of Political Science in Bucharest, Romania (SNSPA), held a lecture titled ‘Why is climate skepticism so widespread in former communist European societies? How to tackle climate skepticism?’.
