Centre of International Relations, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia (CIR) is participating in the New COST Action ‘Decolonising Development’. The action, which connects researchers from 12 countries, takes on the challenge to explore and develop alternative approaches to understanding development in research, study, and practice. Taking into account the more recent approach that analyses development from the perspective of developing countries, the project will analyse the structures and institutions that still maintain the power imbalance between developed and developing countries. The New Cost Action will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of international development, highlighting the importance that development needs to be analysed and studies in all its complexity, including the interconnectedness of countries and other actors in the international community.
