The paper examines whether it is legal to deport an individual to a state where they will likely end up in a camp. The author argues that both the European Court of Human Rights and the Human Rights Committee have set a very high thresholds for preventing such removals, meaning that it is unlikely that individuals can successfully contest a deportation decision.
