The EU and China: Reform and Governance, College of Europe (Bruges), 4-5 May 2015
On 4-5 May 2015 the EU-China Research Centre and the InBev-Baillet Latour Chair of European Union-China Relations at the College of Europe held a conference on “The EU and China: Reform and Governance”. The conference was hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee (4 May 2015) and the European Parliament (5 May 2015) in Brussels.
The objective of this one-and-a-half day conference was to bring together high-level European and Chinese researchers and policymakers to explore the topic of reform and governance. It did so by focusing on both the EU’s and China’s approaches to domestic and global governance, as well as current reforms in the EU and China. Whereas the first day was devoted to an in-depth study of the internal opportunities and challenges shared by the EU and China as well as their contribution to global governance, the morning of the second day put an emphasis on global climate governance.
