On March 12, Dr. Giorgi Khishtovani, Director at PMC Research presented the findings of research in GIZ’s Connective Cities Network in the area of governance at municipal level in times of COVID19. Thereafter, the representatives from Tartu (Estonia) and La Paz (Bolivia) discussed their cases of municipal response to COVID-19 in the area of governance, followed by the panel discussion in which the topic of e-governance was covered, and the effectiveness of ICT solutions at municipal levels during the COVID-19 pandemic was discussed.
This web-seminar was conducted in the course of the GIZ project – “Research of good practices and moderation of virtual events on the subject of health, business and governance at municipal level in times of COVID-19,” designed to exchange experiences and innovative solutions quickly and efficiently across regions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, so that cities in this network can better prepare for the effects of the pandemic and increase the efficiency of their responses to local outbreaks.
