EP4U Student Paper: “Addressing the EU’s Migration Problem Through Circular Migration”, Aron Bosman

Aron Bosman is a student at Maastricht University, and winner of the EP4U Student Contest in the “Migration & Asylum” policy area. Aron’s brief gives concrete recommendations that are central to his argument. They are well defended, documented and actually applicable in the real world. The introduction provides the proper and nuanced context, and Aron presents a convincing case throughout.

This policy brief addresses the question of migration and the destabilising effects it has on the EU. The brief offers circular migration as a solution and has three key recommendations. Firstly, agreements with third countries, secondly equipping migrants with the necessary skills to work in the EU and finally, to explain the policy well to the citizens of the EU.
