On 20 December 2017, the Razumkov Centre, supported by the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation and Council of Europe project «Support to the implementation of the judicial reform in Ukraine», conducted round table «Problems in Implementation of Constitutional Changes Regarding the Justice System and the Status of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine».
Representatives of legislative and executive autho-rities, scientists, independent experts, as well as repre-sentatives of embassies and international organisations were participants in the discussion.
Informational and analytical materials was presented, and the following issues discussed:
- The process of introducing a constitutionally deter-mined judicial system (current state, problems).
- Changes in the constitutional and legal status of a judge (problems of access to the profession and securing the status of a judge).
- Prospects of proper provision of the right to a fair trial in connection with changes in procedural legislation.
