Webinar: “What’s Next for Global Health in the Wake of the Pandemic?”, April 29 (Clingendael Institute, The Netherlands)

The COVID-19 pandemic is no longer dominating news headlines, but is not yet over. The world’s response to COVID-19 has laid bare the vulnerability of societies and health systems, further unveiling structural shortcomings in pandemic preparedness and response. Currently, the world is looking for ways to avoid a new pandemic, with talks around creating a new pandemic instrument or treaty to avoid and better address outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The Netherlands is actively taking part in these negotiations, while also reviewing its role in the global health arena through the development of its own Global Health Strategy.

This is the first on a series of online events that will explore the complexities around the future of global health. We will discuss the key areas of debate on global health while contextualizing this within the ongoing debates in the Netherlands.
