The panel on 7 October between 17.00 and 19.00 CEST will gather international relations (IR) alumni and Centre of International Relations’ (CIR’s) partners with extensive knowledge and experience in international business (IB) practice. Žiga Drev and Tomaž Levak (both from ORIGIN TRAIL and IR Alumni), Tamara Juričič Bellomo (INCOM LEONE and IR Alumni), and Dušan Olaj (DUOL) will discuss the most recent risks and opportunities in the rapidly changing international business environment, such as those related to the Covid-19 pandemic and the rise of fake news. They will also share their experience of how MNEs and their managers learn and develop knowledge as well as how they attract, develop and retain talents. The discussion will furthermore focus on the value of case-based learning for IB problem-solving. The guests will thereby offer recommendations for teachers and students wishing to pursue an IB career path in terms of knowledge and skill development. The conversation will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Andreja Jaklič (Centre of International Relations, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia), who will also present some of the IR alumni IB success stories captured in video cases within the Erasmus+ VCL4IB project preparing a digital library MNC Whispering, which consists of video cases on international business.
