The Italian G20 Presidency, IAI and the Municipality of Genoa are co-organising the G20 High-Level Conference on Local Infrastructure Investment. The High-Level Conference will gather representatives of local administrative entities from G20 countries, international organizations and multilateral development banks to exchange ideas among different stakeholders that can contribute to building more sustainable and inclusive local infrastructure. It will provide the opportunity to rethink the priorities of the G20 infrastructure agenda from the perspective of sub-national entities, to understand their specific challenges and to assess the policy solutions that they can pursue. The event will be articulated in two sessions: the first will focus on how to boost local infrastructure financing, the second on the promotion of local sustainable and greener infrastructure. The Conference is an official event of the Italian Presidency to the G20 within the framework of the Infrastructure Working Group. The Italian Minister of Economy and Finance, Daniele Franco, will deliver a speech during the Conference. The event will be hosted by the City of Genoa at the Magazzini del Cotone of the Porto Antico.
