The Institut für Europäische Politik (IEP), the Portuguese Institute of International Relations, New University of Lisbon (IPRI-UNL), and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, jointly organized the 2nd German-Portuguese Forum, which took place in the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, on 10 and 11 March, with the support of the German Government. The foreign ministers of Germany and Portugal gave opening speeches. A year after the first Forum took place in Lisbon, this years’ Forum focused on German-Portuguese relations around four core topics: reforms and economic competitiveness, constitutional courts and European integration, the transatlantic partnership and the future of Europe.
