International Conference: “New Developments in the Study of EU External Action” (College of Europe Bruges)

On Friday,5 October 2018, the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studiesof the College of Europe, Bruges campus, will hold a conference to discuss some of the main achievements in the field of EU external relations studies, discuss current trends and further research avenues. Questions around the conceptualisation of the EU’s ‘actorness’ and the coherence of its external action as well as contributions by broader theoretical trends in the social sciences will be addressed. The conference will also focus on the way the EU is seen from the outside and how this is taken into account in the analysis of EU external action. The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Ian Manners.
