The concluding conference “From Brussels to Istanbul: Dialogue on Turkey’s Accession to the EU” taking place on the 10th of October in Istanbul is the final activity of the one-year project “Mobilising Local Networks for a Better Informed Dialogue on Turkey’s Accession to the EU” (ACCESS-TR). Implemented by the Centre for European Studies of the Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara and TEPSA the project aims to promote the active participation of local and regional stakeholders in the process of Turkey’s accession to the EU. After key note speeches of high-level EU and Turkish representatives special sessions of the conference will discuss the positions within EU member states on Turkey’s accession to the EU and present regional perspectives on that topic drawing on the three local workshops held in Antalya, Gaziantep and Samsun.
