Jana Arbeiter, a Young Researcher at the Centre of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana (CIR), participated at the 19th Management International Conference 2019 (MIC 2019). The event was organised by the University of Primorska, Faculty of Management (Slovenia), the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow School of Economics (Russian Federation), and the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Faculty of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković” (Croatia), and took place in Opatija (Croatia) between 29 May and 1 June 2019. This year’s MIC was focused on managing geostrategic issues from several perspectives: energy and climate, management, economics, finance, international institutions and development, tourism, and digitalization and the workplace. At the conference, Jana Arbeiter presented the paper titled ‘Official Development Assistance as an Economic Instrument of a Small Donor Countries: the Case of Croatia and Slovenia’. She analysed Official Development Assistance (ODA) as a positive instrument of economic foreign policy, which helps countries to achieve their economic and political foreign policy goals.
