Marjan Svetličič, a member of the Centre of International Relations, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, took part at a conference on managing global diversities, which was held between May 30 and June 2, 2018 in Bled, Slovenia. At the conference, he gave a keynote speech entitled ‘Managing Global Diversities: Challenges Ahead’. In his address, he stressed that not only the positive but also the negative aspects of globalisation should to be considered. He moreover highlighted social, environmental and developmental imballances resulting from globalisation as the greatest trial for future development of the international community. 180 participants from 30 countries participated at the event – with 135 contributions on different aspects of managing global diversities.
