Álvaro González joined TEPSA as Project Assistant in September 2018. He contributes to the management of EU funded projects on EU – Central Asia relations and EU – Turkey relations, as well as aids in the coordination of studies for the European Parliaments policy department in the field of development and human rights. He is also the editor of TEPSA’s newsletters, website and social media.
Álvaro holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies from the University of the Basque Country and an M.A in European Studies from the KU Leuven, where he focused on European cultural and linguistic policies and European citizenship and identity. Before joining TEPSA, he has been an active member of European youth organised civil society and worked among other positions as the coordinator of the European Citizenship Working Group for AEGEE / European Students’ Forum. Álvaro also did a traineeship in the Translation Management Unit of the European Committee of the Regions.
