IRMO was successful in its application for the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project call. The project “EU Competences and National Cultural Policies: Critical Dialogues” starts on 1st September 2016 and it will last two years. The primary aim is to promote discussion and reflection on the impact of the EU agenda on the Croatian cultural policy. Since Croatia’s accession to EU, there has not been any visible progress in developing better coordination within the cultural policy research community and between cultural professionals and policy-makers responsible for the implementation of different EU instruments and agendas. The project will contribute to enhancing knowledge about the impact of the EU and its processes on the national cultural sector and will create synergies between stakeholders in the domain of culture. The main project activities are: i) international conference ‘Perspectives of national cultural policy development in the EU context: critical dialogues’ (2017), ii) round table about the impact of the Digital Single Market Strategy on the reforms of Croatian cultural policy (2018), iii) publication of the special issue of CIRR – Croatian International Relations Review (2018). The project coordinator is Aleksandra Uzelac, PhD. More information about the project’s activities will soon be available on the IRMO website.
