Philippe Maystadt, former Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium and former President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), was elected President of the Centre international de formation européenne (CIFE), in Brussels on 20 January 2015. He succeeds Jean-Claude Juncker who was president of CIFE since 2005.

Launch of a new Master programme in Nice, Tunis and Istanbul
With start in October 2015 CIFE offers the opportunity to study European Studies and International Relations in Nice, Tunis and Istanbul. The “Mediterranean branch” is the third branch of CIFE’s successful “Master in Advanced European and International Studies”. The other two branches of this itinerant Master programme take place in Nice-Berlin-Rome (for the trilingual branch) and in Istanbul-Nice-Berlin (for the Anglophone branch). The “Mediterranean branch” is realised in cooperation with the Université internationale de Tunis (UIT) and with Istanbul Bilgi University. Teaching languages will be English and French.
