Call for Papers for the 4th AIB-CEE Chapter Conference on the Changing Global Landscape and Regional Cooperation

The 4th AIB-CEE Chapter (i.e. Academy of International Business – Central and Eastern European Chapter) Conference on the Changing Global Landscape and Regional Cooperation will take place between 26 and 28 September 2017 in Ljubljana. The conference will focus on the most recent changes in the global landscape and their impact on regional cooperation from economic, business, social sciences, humanistic and other perspectives.

The event will be preceded by the 1st AIB-CEE Chapter doctoral and junior faculty development workshop on ‘Relevance and Rigor in IB Research: Capturing CEE Context Richness’, which will be organised on 26 September 2017.

The event is organised by the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana (FELU) and the Centre of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana (CIR). It is co-chaired by Matevž Rašković* from FELU and Andreja Jaklič from CIR.

The deadline for submitting the papers is 15 June 2017.

Maja Bučar from CIR Arguing for Impactful Collaborative Research between EU and India at the EqUIP Event in New Delhi

Maja Bučar from the Centre of International Relations (CIR) participated at the EqUIP event in New Delhi during 8 and 9 March 2017. The EU-India Platform for the Social Sciences and Humanities (EqUIP) brings together 16 research social science and humanities funding and support organisations from Europe and India in order to develop a stronger strategic partnership for multi-lateral research collaboration. The broad ambition of EqUIP is to provide the foundations for enhanced research collaboration between India and Europe in the Social Sciences and Humanities through: sharing best practice, networking and the closer coordination of existing collaborative activities. Dr Bučar participated as a panel speaker in the post lunch session on 8 March 2017 focusing on ‘Collaborative Research with Impact – The Value of Global Research Collaboration’.

 

 

Petra Roter from CIR Included in the List of Experts for the OSCE’s Human Dimension Mechanism

Petra Roter from the Centre of International Relations has been added to the list of experts for the human dimension mechanism appointed by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). She will act as an expert within the so called Moscow mechanism during a 6-year mandate.
