On the 23rd of March 2015, a seminar on “Illicit financial flows” was organised by the Center for Global Development (CGD) and the Elcano Royal Institute, the seminar has discussed the draft of a new CGD paper entitled: ‘Illicit financial flows: Policy responses in Europe and implications for developing countries’ written by Iliana Olivié and Aitor Pérez, analysts at the Elcano Royal Institute.
On the 5th of March 2015, a debate on “The hybrid war and the challenge of peace in Ukraine” was organised by the Elcano Royal Institute, the International Centre for Policy Studies and the International Renaissance Foundation. Chaired by Charles Powell, director of the Elcano Royal Institute. With the participation of Alla Hurska, Associate Analyst at the International Centre for Policy Studies; Georgiy Kasianov, Head of the Contemporary History and Politics Department, Institute of Ukrainian History; Sergey Sukhankin, Affiliated Researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona; and Oleksandr Zabirko, Research Fellow at the Institute of Slavic and Baltic Studies (University of Münster).
On the 24th of February 2015, a presentation of “España en el mundo durante 2015: perspectivas y desafíos” was organized by the Elcano Royal Institute. With the participation of Ignacio Molina, Carmen González Enríquez, Federico Steinberg and Charles Powell.
