Prof. dr. Andreja Jaklič, a member of the Centre of International Relations (CIR) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, participated in the ‘International Business in the Dynamic Environment: Changes in Digitalization, Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ AIB-CEE conference that took place between 25 and 27 September 2019 at the Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania.
At the event, Andreja presented two competitive papers co-authored by colleagues from CIR and the international institutions: (1) Manufacturing and Services Interactions in Global Value Chains: Are There Any Differences Between ‘Old’ and ‘New’ EU Member States? (authored by Metka Stare, Andreja Jaklič, and Klemen Knez); and (2) Use of Multimedia in IB Teaching: An Empirical Study Comparing Lecturer and Student Perceptions and Expectations (authored by Filip De Beule, Andreja Jaklič, Aleksandra Kania, Katarzyna Mroczek-Dąbrowska, Nukhet Vardar, and Hinrich Voss). Andreja was also a discussant in two panels (one on business and academia perspective on the dynamic environment; and another on academia, business and institutions: challenges and opportunities for innovation cooperation in the CEE region) and participated in several meetings. She additionally chaired a session on global value chains and developments in FDI and international trade. At the conference, Andreja also received a best reviewer award.
