The Institute of International Relations Prague welcomed a new visiting fellow, Ruth Ferrero-Turrión, thanks to the Think Visegrad Platform and its fellowship programme!
Ruth Ferrero-Turrion is an Adjunct Associate Professor of European Studies and Comparative Politics at Universidad Complutense and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She is also a Co-director of GEurasia.eu and a Senior Research Associate at the Complutense Institute of International Studies (ICEI), where she chairs the UCM Diploma programs “Migrations and International Relations”, “EU Migration and Asylum Policy” and “The Balkans’ New Scenarios”.
She has been a Research Fellow at Columbia University, the London School of Economics and Political Science, the Babes-Bolyai University (Romania), the Hungarian Institute of International Relations, and the Open Society Foundation-Sofia. Her main areas of research are linked with EU migration and asylum policies and the European Neighbourhood Policy. She collaborates regularly with think tanks and foreign affairs publications such as Real Instituto Elcano, Esglobal, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation or the Migration Policy Institute, among others. Since 1996, she has also been an International Observer in several countries (FYROM, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Ukraine, Russia, Armenia).
