Associate professor at the Centre for East Asia Studies Ana Maria Goy Yamamoto comments upon the significance of the Economic and Strategic Partnership Agreements between the European Union and Japan in advance of this months G20 meeting in Osaka, making particular reference to the boost in trade flows, the elimination of non-tariff and tariff barriers to trade, and the enshrinement of international norms on climate change and data usage in law.
