Talk: Recent developments in the EU’s area of Justice and Home Affairs, oiip, 24 October 2012

Logo OIIPThe Treaty of Lisbon changed the structure of the European Union. The former “Third Pillar” disappeared, the entire field of Justice and Home Affairs, also called the “Area of Freedom, Security and Justice”, is now basically determined by the ordinary legislative procedure, according to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. The presentation discussed the most important modifications in Justice and Home Affairs since Lisbon from an academic point of view, with a commentary by a high official from the Austrian Ministry of the Interior.
