On October 21 2021, TEPSA has organized, alongside its partner in Paris, a University Debate in
French, on the subject of Employment and Social Policy
BRUSSELS, 21/10/2021: In the framework of the European Parliament Multi-annual Work Programme for Grants in the area of communication and, more precisely, within the project “European Policies for You”, TEPSA has organised, with its partner in Paris, a University Debate aimed at involving young students in the EU debate of Employment and Social Policy. The event is taking place on October 21, 2021, at 17:00 (CET).
TEPSA aims to raise citizens’ awareness of EU policy-making, engaging French students in discussions about the work of the EU and the EP in the area of Employment and Social Policy.
The debate, moderated by Dr. Tom Chevalier, Associate Researcher at Sciences Po, will be attended by Leïla Chaibi MEP, youth activist Maëlys Garcia, and Jiry Plecity, who is the Head of Unit for Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands at the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL) in the European Commission.
In this debate, TEPSA aims to create of a discussion regarding employment and social issues and how they can and will influence the EU in directing its efforts to boost employment for young people and inclusion for marginalised communities. This will create a community of European citizens who are well informed about the EU and its work, and who are equipped with the critical tools to engage in an informed debate about some key policy areas.
