TEPSA University Debate: Migration and Asylum

On November 2 2021, TEPSA has organized, alongside its partner, a University Debate in Bulgarian,
on the subject of EU Migration and Asylum Policy

BRUSSELS, 2/11/2021: In the framework of the European Parliament Multi-annual Work Programme for Grants in the area of communication and, more precisely, within the project “European Policies for You”, TEPSA has organised, with its partner institute, a University Debate aimed at involving young students in the EU debate of Migration and Asylum. The event is taking place on November 2, 2021, at 17:00 (CET).

TEPSA aims to raise citizens’ awareness of EU policy-making, engaging Bulgarian students in discussions about the work of the EU and the EP in the area of Migration and Asylum.

The debate, moderated by Dr. Evelina Staykova, Head of the Department of Political Sciences of the New Bulgarian University, will be attended by Radan Kanev MEP, Ilin Stanev from the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria, Dafinka Sydova from the Department of National and International Security, and Polina Hristova from the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross.

In this debate, TEPSA aims to create of a discussion regarding migration policy among the youth and how they can and will influence the EU in directing its effort to help asylum seeker. This will create a community of European citizens who are well informed about the EU and its work, and who are equipped with the critical tools to engage in an informed debate about some key policy areas.
