A survey of the recent meeting of the G20 in Osaka, this edition of Global Spectator considers the issues and challenges raised by that meeting, noting the divergence of national interests in fields such as cross border data flows. Nonetheless, it also notes problems common to all member nations, such as inequality, ageing societies and climate change. It also considers the effect of bi and multi-lateral arrangements, such as that between the EU and Mercosur.
