The Elcano Royal Institute joins the Council for Global Problem-Solving
The Elcano Royal Institute has joined the Council for Global Problem-Solving as a full member. The organisation, founded by the T20 research and policy advice network, brings together experts from academia, think-tanks, and other political analysis and research organisation to formulate policy proposals. These proposals are then used by the governments of the G20 group to ensure a degree of continuity between respective presidencies. Accepting the membership at the T20 Japan Summit in Tokyo, initially for a renewable term of three years, were Director of The Elcano Royal Institute Charles Powell, and Andrés Ortega, Senior Associate Researcher and Representative to the T20. The Council for Global Relations, whose President is Dennis Snower, is based in Berlin where it holds conferences annually.
