During the last ten years, data has been collected on over 6500 think tanks from 169 countries. Information in the database can be sorted by institution, region, country, zip code, and reports produced.
The programme collects and analyzes information about think tanks through surveys so that national, regional, and global trends can be identified.
With a view to updating the Global Think Tank Database, the University of Pennsylvania invites all interested think tanks to complete a survey by 30 June 2016.
The Think Thank Survey can be accessed here.
