While the socio-economic situation of young people in France has deteriorated for several years with an increase of more than 50% in the poverty rate among 18-29 year olds since 2002, the health crisis makes the precariousness of young people, both students and job seekers, even more visible. Between difficulties in accessing housing and the job market and bleak future prospects, young people sometimes appear to be second-class citizens. Knowing an unemployment rate of 20% and being excluded from social benefits such as the RSA, they are often condemned to precariousness.
