In this new video, John Stevens and Brendan Donnelly, discuss the post-Brexit state of UK/EU relations. They argue that the present British government will generally seek a confrontational relationship with the EU over the coming months. This confrontation will be a source of instability in Northern Ireland and encourage the forces of Scottish nationalism. It will also provide political opportunities for the Labour Party. Keir Starmer may not however be willing or able to take these opportunities.
